A student at the University of Florence, Fernando believes that architecture is essentially about the way people relate to each other, and that space offers us an emotional experience that amplifies the meaning of the built environment.

His academic interests are primarily in sociology of architecture, neurology and psychology applied to the field of design, focusing on accessibility and inclusion through Universal Design principles and biophilic strategies.
